Two careers most people choose between — practiced as one.

Based in Paris, I’ve never been able to choose between two passions: unraveling complex problems through code, and helping other people learn to do the same. For most of my career those looked like two different jobs, pulling in opposite directions. It took me a while to realise they were the same instinct — and that the place I’m most useful is exactly where they meet.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in empowerment. I try to cultivate autonomy rather than dependence — to teach people how to fish rather than hand them the catch: the tools, the skills, and above all the confidence to navigate code on their own. That belief shapes how I engineer, too. Good infrastructure, like good teaching, is the kind people can actually understand and build on.

I’m happiest in hands-on coaching and real-world code rather than on a stage, though I’ve taught at bootcamps and spoken at conferences along the way. The thread through all of it is the same: meaningful work, done to a high technical standard, shared so that others can do it too.
